Position Summary


Employers Council is seeking a Director of Corporate Training and Events to join our team. We partner with employers to grow exceptional, dynamic workplaces by offering a comprehensive set of services.


The Corporate Training and Events Director is responsible for shaping and leading the organization’s training strategy to foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. This role ensures the development, delivery, and evaluation of high-quality training programs and events that align with organizational objectives and member needs. By collaborating with leaders, content creators, and strategic partners, the Director drives excellence in training standards, maximizes engagement, and supports revenue goals. The position is pivotal in building exceptional workplaces by empowering employees and members with relevant, innovative, and accessible learning opportunities.


Salary Range - $160,000 - $170,000

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Responsible for establishing standard processes and protocols for training activities across the organization
  • Lead efforts for strategy and execution for development of training content delivered across all mediums and coordinate with all content creators to ensure consistent content that meets standards of excellence and member relevancy
  • Establish training and event schedules, prioritize and manage online catalog of all trainings and events
  • Direct the design, planning and implementation of corporate training programs companywide aligned with the objectives and strategy of the organization
  • Collaborate with Officers, Directors and functional managers to assess ongoing and future training needs as well as the effectiveness of established programs
  • Collaborate with leadership to determine appropriate pricing and delivery methods to meet revenue goals
  • Oversee and establish relationships with vendors to provide additional outside training programs
  • Work with strategic partners and potential sponsors for specific events to optimize revenue and maintain relationships
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Tech Services, and others to ensure all stakeholders are involved and aware of training initiatives
  • Work with Marketing to effectively promote training and events through a variety of mediums
  • Work with Tech Services to select, implement and help manage technology applications required to deliver trainings in a variety of forms while delivering a great customer experience
  • Oversee Learning Management System and content being offered
  • Establish and monitor process for predicting and tracking training hours against revenue targets
  • Work with Officers and Directors for setting and achieving revenue goals and objectives, and effectively managing expenses

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
