St. Frances Cabrini Academy, a Catholic elementary school serving a diverse student population in the heart of St. Louis, is seeking a dedicated and passionate 2nd Grade Teacher for the 2025–26 school year. This full-time position includes responsibility for all core academic subjects as well as sacramental preparation for First Reconciliation and First Communion . The successful candidate will foster a nurturing classroom environment that supports both academic achievement and spiritual development in accordance with Catholic values.
Plan and deliver instruction in all core academic subjects (reading, writing, math, science, social studies, and religion).
Prepare 2nd grade students for the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion, in collaboration with school leadership and parish staff.
Create a classroom environment that supports the academic, emotional, social, and spiritual development of all students.
Use effective classroom management strategies to maintain a positive and respectful learning environment.
Differentiate instruction and assessment to meet the varied learning needs and backgrounds of students.
Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student learning and school community initiatives.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with families.
Uphold and model Catholic values and participate in the school’s faith-based community life.
Attend professional development sessions, faculty meetings, and school-related events as required.
Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
Missouri State Teaching Certification (or eligibility for certification).
Practicing Catholic preferred, with the ability to support students in sacramental preparation.
Experience or strong interest in working with children from diverse cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and classroom management abilities.
Ability to use data to inform instruction and tailor learning experiences.
Passion for Catholic education and commitment to the mission of the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
